Five Star Night is an elegant evening where guests are lavished with a delectable four course meal and enjoy excellent wine while perusing select live and silent auction items. This year’s event was held at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland near Lake Merritt. It was a fabulous evening of fun and festivity, highlighted by quality wine paired with exquisite culinary creations and an exciting auction full of fabulous finds.
For 26 years, Five Star Night has been a major fundraising event for Alameda County Meals on Wheels. We raise money to support the delivery of over 2,100 warm meals each week day to local homebound seniors. This simple act not only nourishes bodies, but functions as a daily wellness check, ensuring that each client is safe in their homes. The presence of a daily, friendly face at our client’s doors buoys their spirits and offers a connection to the outside world.
This event makes an impact on thousands of lives!
We want to take this opportunity to thank the countless souls who have gone above and beyond and undoubtedly impacted the lives of our seniors! These individuals recognize the financial hardships we are currently facing and the dire need for the companionship and nutritious meals provided to countless seniors everyday through Meals on Wheels. Five Star Night would not be possible without the chefs, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and countless others who have so generously offered up their time and talents. You are all truly the stars of Five Star Night!
